Ordering and Shipping

We endeavour to ship orders within 1 to 3 business days of purchase.

Once shipped, delivery can take 4 to 10 business days depending on your location.

When your order is dispatched you’ll receive an email with your tracking link — Australia Post handles all our deliveries, so the link takes you straight to the Australia Post tracking page.

The same link is also saved to your order: go to My Account, open Orders from the left menu, find your Order and click the Track Order button.

Subscription renewal orders work exactly the same way.

If it’s been more than 2 business days since you ordered and you haven’t received your tracking, email at admin@designedbydietitians.com.

At the moment, we can only ship orders to addresses in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Orders over $150 ship free to addresses in Australia.

Unfortunately, we currently do not offer free shipping to New Zealand or Singapore addresses.

If a discount is applied to your purchase, the discounted total must be $150 or over for free shipping to apply.

We’re confident you’ll love our products—our customers certainly do! After thousands of sales, only a handful of customers have found a product wasn’t the right fit for them. That said, we understand that questions about refunds may come up, so here’s how our policy works:

  • Cancelling an order: If you need to cancel your order, contact us in writing before it ships. We’ll provide a refund for the purchase price, minus any unavoidable costs, such as prepaid shipping fees.

  • Returning a product: If you’d like to return a product, let us know, and we’ll assess your request on a case-by-case basis. For returns to be approved, the product must be unopened and in sellable condition. You’ll cover the cost of shipping it back to us, and once we receive it, we’ll refund the product price (excluding shipping fees).

  • What if you don’t love it? Based on the feedback we receive, we’re confident you’ll love our products! However, we don’t offer refunds for products that have been opened or used. If you’re unsure about trying something new, we recommend starting with our sample sizes (where available) to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

We value your trust and appreciate your understanding. For more details, you can review our full Terms and Conditions here.

Creatine Blends

Creatine is a natural substance that occurs in the body, breastmilk, and some foods. It is a naturally occurring compound in muscle cells that helps produce energy during high-intensity activities. Creatine increases phosphocreatine stores, facilitating the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate)—your body’s primary energy source.

Research shows women typically have 70% to 80% lower creatine stores than men and consume less dietary creatine. Emerging research highlights the benefits of creatine supplementation for women across their entire lifespan.

Supplementing with creatine provides a range of benefits:

  • Energy Production: Power through busy days and challenging workouts.
  • Muscle Strength and Recovery: Proven to improve strength by increasing energy availability for muscle contractions. Creatine also reduces muscle cell damage and inflammation, accelerating recovery—particularly valuable during hormonal phases like menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause.
  • Cognitive Function and Mood Regulation: Research highlights creatine’s role in improving mental clarity, focus, and resilience, helping manage life’s demands and combat “brain fog.”

We use German-sourced Creapure® and Creavitalis® creatine in our products because of its exceptional purity and quality. Manufactured by Alzchem Trostberg GmbH in Germany, Creapure® and Creavitalis® are renowned for being 99.99% pure creatine monohydrate, achieved through stringent quality control measures. This high level of purity ensures that our products are free from unwanted impurities, such as Dihydrotriazine (DHT), which can be present in lower-quality creatine sources. By using Creapure® and Creavitalis®, we provide a premium product that supports optimal performance and aligns with our commitment to excellence.

Note: Creapure® and Creavitalis® are also certified vegan, as they are derived from non-animal sources, and holds kosher and halal certifications.

Bloating and weight gain are common concerns with creatine, but let’s clear up the confusion!

Creatine works by drawing water into your muscle cells to help them perform better and recover faster. This is a good thing—it’s how creatine helps you build strength and energy. Any increase in weight is due to this healthy, temporary hydration in your muscles, not fat gain.

That said, lower-quality creatine can sometimes cause bloating or digestive discomfort due to impurities. This is why we only use Creapure® Creatine Monohydrate—the gold standard of creatine worldwide. Creapure® is 99.99% pure and undergoes a rigorous water-washing process to minimise unwanted side effects like bloating, making it easier on your stomach. So you’re getting the cleanest, highest-quality creatine available.

To further avoid any bloating, we recommend using 3g of creatine daily—no “loading phase” needed. Regular, consistent use will help you see all the benefits while avoiding discomfort.

Tip: Stay hydrated throughout the day to maximise results and keep everything balanced.

Creatine supplementation has been extensively studied for over three decades, with research consistently supporting its safety for long-term use when consumed within recommended dosages (typically 3–5 g/day). Long-term studies have shown no adverse effects on kidney or liver function in healthy individuals, even with prolonged use. Concerns about kidney damage are often based on misunderstandings of creatinine levels, which naturally increase with creatine use but are not indicative of harm in individuals with normal kidney function.

Research has also demonstrated the safety of creatine in various populations, including older adults, athletes, and even children and adolescents under appropriate guidance. However, those with pre-existing kidney or liver conditions should consult a healthcare provider before starting supplementation. Creatine is one of the most thoroughly tested supplements, with a strong safety profile supported by numerous clinical trials.

Creatine supplementation is widely regarded as safe and well-tolerated. While some individuals may experience mild gastrointestinal symptoms, such as bloating or diarrhoea, these are more commonly associated with a high-dose “loading phase” (20 grams per day for 5–7 days). However, recent research shows that a loading phase is unnecessary. A steady daily dose of 3 grams can achieve the same muscle creatine saturation over time—typically within 3–4 weeks—without the discomfort linked to high-dose loading. That’s why we recommend a consistent 3 gram daily dose for optimal results.

Our products feature German-sourced Creapure® creatine monohydrate, a premium, ultra-pure form of creatine. Creapure® is manufactured under rigorous quality control standards to minimise impurities, such as by-products or contaminants, that can sometimes contribute to mild side effects. Because our blends use Creapure®, the risk of experiencing these issues is significantly reduced, ensuring a more comfortable supplementation experience.

Concerns about weight gain are also common, but it’s important to understand why this happens. There may be a small amount of initial (and temporary) weight gain from creatine due to increased water retention in muscle cells as creatine draws water into the muscles. This is normal and harmless, and many individuals find this effect enhances muscle fullness and performance. It’s also worth noting that long-term water retention is a myth—your body adjusts over time, and creatine does not cause persistent bloating or water weight increases.

Misconceptions that creatine causes dehydration or muscle cramping have been thoroughly debunked in scientific studies. In fact, research suggests creatine may improve hydration within muscle cells, potentially reducing the risk of cramping.

By choosing our premium creatine blends, powered by Creapure®, and sticking to the recommended daily dose of 3 grams, you can enjoy the benefits of creatine supplementation with minimal risk of side effects. As always, if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or concerns, consult a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement.

  • General Recommendation: Most women benefit from 3–5g daily.
  • Energy Creatine Blend and Vitality Creatine Blend: Take 2 scoops (8–10g) mixed with 300mL of water daily.
  • Pure Creatine Monohydrate: Take 3g daily.

Consistency is key—creatine works best when taken daily, even on rest days.

Daily intake is essential to experience the full benefits of creatine. For it to be effective, your muscles need to be saturated with creatine. This is not a supplement you take only on exercise days. Saturation requires regular dosing, so consistent use helps maintain elevated creatine levels in your body, ensuring maximum results for fitness, energy, recovery, and cognition.

Yes! Creatine isn’t just for athletes. It supports energy production and cognitive function, making it beneficial for anyone juggling busy schedules, managing fatigue, or seeking mental clarity.

Absolutely! While our blends are crafted to support women’s health, they are equally effective and safe for men.

Yes, all our creatine blends are certified vegan-friendly and gluten-free, making them suitable for plant-based and gluten-free diets.

Creatine monohydrate has low solubility in water, so some settling is normal. This does not affect its effectiveness. Simply stir or shake your drink before each sip to keep it evenly distributed.

Taking more than the recommended dose won’t provide extra benefits and may lead to minor side effects like stomach discomfort. Stick to the suggested serving size for optimal and safe results. If you feel you need a higher dose, consult with your registered healthcare professional.

Creatine supplementation in children and adolescents is a topic of ongoing research. While some studies suggest potential benefits for young athletes, there is limited comprehensive data on long-term safety and efficacy in this age group. We recommend that individuals under 15 years of age consult with a healthcare professional before considering the use of our creatine products.

Note: Our creatine products are formulated for adult use. Parents and guardians should seek medical advice to determine appropriateness for children.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend consulting your healthcare professional before using our creatine products.

Protein Powders

As one of the 3 key macronutrients, protein is primarily found in animal-based foods including dairy, meat, eggs, fish as well as in smaller quantities in nuts, seeds and legumes. Unlike carbohydrate, the body requires a certain amount of protein each day to function optimally. Protein has many functions in the body including helping to make new cells, for muscle growth and repair, to build connective tissue including skin and bone, to carry oxygen around the body and to make the enzymes that digest food.

The average female needs at least 1g of good quality protein for every kilo of body weight. We base this on your healthy weight, and the average female will require a minimum of 50-70g and up to 80-100g depending on your individual goals. It is recommended that those that are aiming for fat loss, aiming to build muscle or in peri or menopause, consume slightly more protein than the average person. Most women do not reach their daily protein intake for several reasons, including grabbing carbohydrate rich meals and snacks on the run, skipping meals, choosing plant-based milks over dairy and eating quick, low-protein meals such as cereals or toasties.

Protein powder is a concentrated source of milk-based protein, and an option to get a concentrated amount of high-quality protein in a small amount of food. Most women don’t eat enough protein at breakfast or lunch and a serve of protein powder, particularly at breakfast can help them achieve their overall protein requirements for the day. A serve of protein powder is an easy and convenient way to get 20+g of protein in a single serve, but it can also be enjoyed as part of a recipe eg. in a smoothie, oat-based recipe like overnight oats or added to baking.

Good quality protein is a description given to mostly animal-based proteins including dairy, meat, eggs, fish, chicken, tofu and legumes that offers a full range of amino acids, the building blocks of protein, and as such is more readily metabolised in the body. Nourish protein is based on 100% Whey protein, a low lactose, high quality, complete protein.

Indeed, you can. In the case of protein, it still is a source of calories so you can have too much and more is not always better. It is recommended that adults do not consume more than 2-3g of protein per kilogram of healthy body weight each day for any extended period of time.

Our protein blends are whey (dairy) based with a small amount of key nutrients added to optimise health. In Digestive Protein with Pre and Probiotic, there is an 89% high quality Whey Protein Isolate Base, along with some dietary fibre (acacia gum), natural flavour, salt, natural sweetener (Steviol glycosides) and probiotics (Lactobacillus rhamnosus).

Women’s Protein is 83% high quality Whey Protein, along with inositol, calcium, chromium, salt, natural sweetener (Steviol glycosides) and activated folate, the extra nutrients specifically added to target women’s hormonal needs.

Women’s Protein best suits adult women who:

  • have PCOS, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes or other hormonal conditions; or
  • have more than 10kg to lose; or
  • are in perimenopause or menopause.

Digestive Protein with Pre and Probiotics best suits adult women, or men, who:

  • actively care for their gut health; or
  • have autoimmune conditions (because autoimmune conditions are generally linked back to poor gut health); or
  • have sensitive tummies; or
  • are otherwise just busy, active and healthy individuals.

Women’s Protein has been specifically formulated for women’s hormones.

Digestive Protein with Pre and Probiotics is appropriate for both women and men.

Yes, for the moment as we find vanilla the most versatile flavour. Later this year, we hope we bring out a chocolate flavour as well.

No, both protein powders contain dairy from the whey protein. In the future we hope to be able to create a vegan based protein too.

Yes. Both protein powders are gluten free and batch testing has been conducted on each blend. They are safe for people with Coeliac disease and gluten intolerance.

Both protein blends are low lactose. They should be tolerated well by most healthy adults, even those who struggle with dairy or have a lactose intolerance.

Yes. Both protein blends are well suited for diabetes (as they are low carb and low sugar). However, the Women’s Protein was developed specifically for type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance. So, if you have either of those conditions, we recommend the Women’s Protein (unless pregnant or breastfeeding).

The Women’s Protein blend is not appropriate for pregnancy or breastfeeding. The Digestive Protein with Pre and Probiotics should be fine for healthy women/healthy pregnancies (but always check with your health care professional).

We recommend always checking with your health care professional first.

No. Children do not need additional protein like some adults do. If there is a medical need for increased protein in your child’s diet, please speak with your health care professional.

Yes. Each 500g bag of our protein powder ships with its own purpose-sized plastic scoop. Women’s Protein includes a 70ml volume scoop, and Digestive Protein includes an 80ml volume scoop. The two are sized differently on purpose: Women’s Protein is denser than Digestive Protein, so a smaller volume scoop delivers the same protein weight.

In both cases, one level scoop is approximately 30g of powder, which is one serve. That works out to 22g of protein per serve for Women’s Protein, and 23g of protein per serve for Digestive Protein.

The numbers on the side of your scoop (10ml, 20ml, 30ml, and so on up to the top of the scoop) are volume markings, not weight markings. Some customers see the “30” line on the side and wonder if that’s where to fill the scoop to. It is not. There is no 30g line on the scoop. For one full serve, fill the scoop level to the top, not to one of the numbers on the side.

The volume markings are there for flexibility, for example if you’re measuring out a smaller portion for a recipe, or if you’re using the scoop with a different product that has a different serving size.

The target is 30g of powder per serve, regardless of which scoop you have. If you’re using a kitchen scale, 30g of either Women’s Protein or Digestive Protein is one full serve. If you don’t have a scale to hand, three level tablespoons is a close approximation for both products.

About

Ingredients and Manufacturing

We haven’t needed to third-party batch test our finished products because we use premium branded ingredients that are verified upstream (see the “What ingredients do you use?” FAQ.), and we partner with HACCP-certified Australian manufacturing partners  (see the Where are your products manufactured? FAQ.).

Batch testing isn’t required by the food standards we operate under, and it’s less common here than in markets like the US, where the regulatory framework is different and quality ingredients are less accessible.

We use premium branded ingredients because each one comes with its manufacturer’s own verifications.

Creapure® Creatine Monohydrate (AlzChem, Germany) — ≥99.9% purity, batch tested for heavy metals, microbiology, and synthesis byproducts like dicyandiamide and creatinine. AlzChem vegan-certified. Used in Pure Creatine and Energy Creatine Blend.

Creavitalis® Special Grade Creatine Monohydrate (also AlzChem, Germany) — ≥99.9% purity and finely micronised for cold-water mixing. Batch tested for heavy metals, microbiology, and synthesis byproducts like dicyandiamide and creatinine. AlzChem vegan-certified. Used in Women’s Vitality Creatine Blend.

VERISOL® Bioactive Collagen Peptides (GELITA AG, Germany) — clinical-grade bioactive peptide profile, consistency-verified per batch. Used in Renew Hydrolysed Collagen Blend and Glow Hot Chocolate.

New Zealand Whey Protein Isolate — the protein base in Women’s Protein for Hormone Support and Digestive Protein. New Zealand’s pasture-fed dairy and tightly-regulated processing chain produce a clean, high-quality whey.

Our products are manufactured in a Brisbane based facility that maintains Food Safety and Quality Management Systems that are HACCP-certified (CAC/RCP 1-1969, Rev. 4-2003). The facility is a Dairy Export Registered Plant under the Australian Department of Agriculture and an accredited High Risk Facility under Safe Food Queensland.
